Kids outgrow bikes fast. This program gives families an easy way to bring in an eligible junior bike and turn it into store credit for whatever comes next.
The Trade-In Offer
$50 Store Credit
Accepted bikes receive store credit that can be used storewide. It does not need to be used the same day.
Accepted Sizes
We are currently accepting junior bikes in these wheel sizes only:
- 12”
- 16”
- 20”
- 24”
How It Works
Bring in an eligible junior bike, we inspect it in person, and accepted bikes receive $50 in store credit.
Good to know
- This is a trade-in program only; bikes are not accepted on consignment.
- Only approved brands and listed wheel sizes are eligible.
- All bikes are subject to final inspection before acceptance.
Condition requirements
To qualify for the Junior Bike Trade-In program, bikes must be safe, complete, and in resellable condition.
Bikes must be complete
Bikes must not be missing essential parts. This includes things like wheels, pedals, handlebars, brakes, seats, or other key components needed for the bike to function properly.
Frames must be structurally sound
We will not accept bikes with rusted frames, cracked frames, bent frames, or any damage that affects safety or rideability.
Bikes should be clean
A quick clean-up goes a long way. Excessively dirty bikes may be turned away until cleaned.
Final acceptance is up to Sports Plus
Acceptance depends on brand, size, condition, safety, and current store needs.

How does the Junior Bike Trade-In work?
Bring in an eligible junior bike from one of our approved brands and accepted wheel sizes. If the bike passes inspection, we’ll issue $50 in-store credit.
A valid photo ID is required to complete any bike trade-in.
What makes a bike eligible?
- It must be from one of our approved brands
- It must be 12”, 16”, 20”, or 24”
- It must be complete and functional
- It must have a structurally sound frame
- It must be in safe, resellable condition
What bikes won’t be accepted?
- Bikes from brands outside our approved list
- Bikes outside the listed wheel sizes
- Bikes missing essential parts
- Bikes with rusted, cracked, or bent frames
- Bikes in unsafe or poor overall condition
Sports Plus does not consign bicycles of any kind, including both kids’ and adult bikes.
