Race-day speed is the point of the Maxxis Aspen, an XC race-inspired tire with a low-profile, fast-rolling center tread and staggered, aggressive shoulder knobs. Its MaxxSpeed compound uses a silica filler to improve speed and wet traction, and it reduces rolling resistance by a further 25%. Sidewall protection helps prevent punctures from abrasion, and the tubeless-ready casing needs sealant. It comes in black folding versions in 27.5x2.25 and 29x2.25.
