Extra tread rubber is the idea behind the WTB ThickSlick, a favorite of fixie riders now available in a multitude of sizes. It has twice the amount of tread rubber of standard slick road tires, which resists punctures and gives it great wear life. Sizes include 26x2.0, 29x2.1, 700x25 and 700x28, all with a wire bead, and there is a white 700x25 option too.
